What is a Pet Sitter?

A pet sitter is someone who will come to your home when you leave for vacation, or when you have to work late. A pet sitter is a person who LOVES animals and is concerned about their safety and welfare. A pet sitter is a professional that you can trust with your precious pets and home.

I don’t know how I feel having strangers in my home while i’m away.

We know that can be difficult for some people. That’s why we meet with you and your pet(s) in your home before you decide if our service is right for you It is very important to us that you come home to your house and pet(s) in the same condition as when you left . We are professionals who are bonded and insured.

Besides caring for your pets, we make sure things are ok at your home. If something doesn’t seem right, we will contact you right away. A few examples of what we have delt with so far —we couldn’t find the cat we were sitting for, turns out the housekeeper had accidently shut a bedroom door after the cat followed her in. The cat had no access to food or water, or litter box. At another cat visit, a delivery man had shut the door to a the room that contained the three cats litter boxes. We were able to clean up the mess the cats had made on the furniture and carpet, and give them access to the room with the litter boxes. We arrived at a home where we were walking a dog, the kitchen floor was flooded with more water coming from a loose pipe under the sink. We called the owner and cleaned up the water before it could do much damage. We found the pipes frozen in one home when we stopped to care for the cat. We contacted the owner, who had someone take care of the problem before the pipes burst, and they were able to use their water when they arrived home. Another time, we found a dog that was tied outside, that had gotten tangled up, on a hot day with no water or shade.

Do I have to give you a key?

Yes, that’s what is usually done. You don’t need to worry, the keys are kept secure, with no identification on them. That way if you have to leave for an emergency, or you can’t get home from work for some reason, all you have to do is call us, and we will be there for your pet.

How do I schedule pet care?

If it’s the first time, we will come to your home to meet you and your pet(s). We can answere any questions you might have. And you can let us know all about your pet and the care that is needed.

After the first time, all you have to do is call, e-mail or text us to see if we have openings for the times you need pet care.

What if I have more then one pet? Will it cost more?

We charge by the visit, not by the number of pets you have. Unless you have a lot of pets, and the care will take a lot longer, then there would be an additional charge.

Most people think I just sit all day. My pet sitter lets me crawl around the room. I love to explore!
